It is not everyday that you see foreigners protesting against graft in India. But that is exactly what Susan Wickes and Maegan Chadwick-Dobson were doing at 7 Race Course Road on Thursday.
The two are studying Hindi at Delhi University and have been in India for two years.
“We have been victims of corruption ourselves and truly support Hazare’s movement,” said Wickes. However, they feel such a movement would never have succeeded in the United Kingdom (UK).
“The government as well as the common man would have ignored the protesters. No doubt there is corruption in the UK as well but it is concealed very well. Here everyone knows about it and they are tired of it,” Chadwick-Dobson said.
