Delhi University will release three more cutoff lists for admission to undergraduate courses on August 20, 24 and 29. Admissions will be conducted till August 22, 26 and 30, respectively.
Saturday’s list is the sixth to be announced by the university, and it comes a month after the new academic session began.
Earlier, the university said it would bring out only five lists and that admissions for the vacancies will be merit-based. Admissions under the fifth cutoff list ended on July 22.
For vacancies after that, registered students had to apply again and colleges brought out a merit list. Admissions under the merit system ended on August 16.
“We are restarting the cutoff system for admissions. Many students have withdrawn admissions due to which there are vacant seats in different in many colleges. There will be three cutoffs,” said a university official.
“All the candidates who are registered online with the University of Delhi for undergraduate courses (merit based) are eligible for admission through cutoffs,” said students’ welfare dean, JM Khurana.
Document verification and approval of admission will happen up to 1 pm for the morning colleges, and up to 4 pm for evening colleges.
The application process this year has gone fully online. University officials said college fees can also be paid online and the only time students will have to physically visit the colleges will be when they go for document verification.
