The Delhi Urban Arts Commission has again rejected the NDMC’s proposal to set up communication towers in the city’s Lutyen’s zone. This is the fourth time the proposal has been rejected in three years.
Citing aesthetic reasons for the rejection, the DUAC suggested the NDMC to look into fiber optics technology to lower the height of the towers.
“A proposal had come to us from the service providers through the NDMC. Long communication towers have a negative impact on the surrounding’s aesthetic appeal. We have suggested NDMC to lower the height of the towers,” said K.T. Ravindran, chairman of DUAC.
