NEW DELHI: The Dwarka Courts Complex in a crackdown on violation of the dress code for staff has asked women to wear salwar-kameez with dupatta or come dressed in a sari while men have been asked not to wear sports shoes.

A circular issued by the Dwarka Courts Complex senior officer on May 23 has directed that all staff members have to wear the “formal uniform”.

The male staff has been asked to wear shirts, trousers and shoes (other than sports shoes).

“It has been brought to the notice of the undersigned that despite specific instructions issued from time to time by the office of the District and Sessions Judge, as well as by the office of undersigned, some officials posted at Dwarka District Courts do not adhere to the proper dress code/ uniform,” said District and Sessions Judge Ravinder Kaur.

Officials have also been directed to display their identity cards prominently while on duty.
