Lok Sabha witnessed some light moments on Friday during Question Hour when there was electricity failure while power minister Sushilkumar Shinde was answering a query related to his ministry, prompting members to take dig at the government.
As soon as Shinde rose to reply to a question on Ultra Mega Power Projects (UMPPs) there a power-cut but the automatic back-up supply was switched on immediately.
However, opposition members did not let go the opportunity and shouted "power, power".
Even Shinde could not hold back his laughter.
Speaker Meira Kumar was heard saying, "It (power) is back, it has been restored."
Shinde went ahead and answered the question raised by an opposition member on UMPPs.
But before he took his seat, Shinde remarked, "Sometimes I have to prove I am the power minister. That is why this is happening."
