Singh in an open letter on Facebook to Kejriwal wrote: "Your dais was shared by Jayant Patil of the PWP who controls a business empire of thousands of crore in Alibaug and is involved in several violations of laws including large scale destruction of mangroves much in violation of the High Court order. However, somewhat like other politicians of Congress and BJP, he has managed to escape from the strong arms of the law."

"But now that you have got to know about the antecedents of your associate in Roha, you need to come out clean as a remedial measure," he wrote.

He also asked the IAC activist to hold a press conference to expose his associate.

In October, Singh, at a press conference in Mumbai alleged that Kejriwal had information to expose Pawar but had concealed facts.

Below is the open letter by Singh to Kejriwal

AN OPEN LETTER TO ARVIND KEJRIWAL:

Dear Mr. Kejriwal,

A big anti-corruption rally was held by you in Roha on 2nd December, 2012, where you rejected the white paper of Government of Maharashtra on irrigation scam and instead presented a black paper.

2. I have been informed by my associates in Raigarh that when you were speaking passionate and strong words against corruption, your dais was shared by Jayant Patil of the PWP who controls a business empire of thousands of crore in Alibaug and is involved in several violations of laws including large scale destruction of mangroves much in violation of the High Court order. However, somewhat like other politicians of Congress and BJP, he has managed to escape from the strong arms of the law.

3. As a small proof of the activities of your associate in Roha, Jayant Patil (who controls PNP Maritime Services), I am quoting the report of Divisional Commissioner of Raigarh District:

“Collector, Raigad has submitted his enquiry report dt. 14.12.2010 in which it is stated that Sub Divisional Officer, Alibag had carried enquiries into the matter. It was found that the land had been leased for a period of 30 years to the Maharashtra Maritime Board for the construction of a jetty. The construction work was being carried out by PNP Maritime Services Pvt. Ltd. which was considered illegal as it was on land under the CRZ-III. Hence PNP Pvt. Ltd. was fined Rs. 5,63,878 and Rs. 5,00,000 respectively which has already been paid by the Company.

The mangroves near Dharamtar creek were found to be damaged and a FIR bearing the No. 8/05 dt. 10.3.2005 has been registered against unknown persons with the Poinad Police Station.”

4. I do not doubt your sincerity as it is always possible for you to have got misguided by local elements. But now that you have got to know about the antecedents of your associate in Roha, you need to come out clean as a remedial measure.

5. Hence, I request you to hold a press conference exposing Jayant Patil, who was your associate in Roha. The material which could be against him is far stronger than the material you have provided to the press for other leaders. This will also prove your point – ‘birds of a feather flock together’, that is, all politicians are ultimately one.
Best wishes,
Y.P. Singh
