Four days after he was removed as the chief of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Bharat Bhushan was on Friday moved to the steel ministry.
Bhushan has also been relieved of his charge as additional secretary and financial adviser to the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, which comes under the aviation ministry. On Friday, new DGCA chief Prashant Sukul held a safety review meeting with different airline heads.
“There is no reason to suspect any compromise on safety,” Sukul said when asked about the problems relating to Kingfisher Airlines.
“They (Kingfisher Airlines) have said they are trying to complete their financial restructuring. But due to some reason or the other, the process is getting delayed.”
