Popular FM radio station Fever 104 has helped a Tihar convict, who had completed his term and was languishing in jail as he was not able to pay fine due to his financial condition, secure release.

This was part of its campaign to help undertrials at Tihar who are stranded in jail even after their terms have ended because of their inability to pay fine.

Last Tuesday, the prisoner Ashok’s sister called Fever's Khurafati Nitin and requested for his brother’s release.

Nitin asked his listeners who rallied behind Ashok. Amazed by the response, Nitin met Sunil Kumar Gupta, law officer, Tihar and requested him to release Ashok. He was released from Tihar on Friday.
