They might be new age business management students but when it came to conflict resolution (which they might have learnt in their classes) they took the old, beaten path of fighting it out.
Two management students from a well-known business school in South Delhi called up wrestlers from all over Haryana to settle a fight that began over a girl.
The incident happened in Lodhi Colony when second-year student Ronit Khullar got into an argument with first-year student Vijay Mann.
“We are not sure but Khullar allegedly said something to Mann about his girlfriend, who studies in the same college. The first day they both got into an argument and threatened each other with dire consequences,” said a senior police officer on the condition of anonymity.
The police added that before parting ways they warned each other that they would bring musclemen to bash each other.
According to police, on Wednesday afternoon both the students brought with them five wrestlers each.
“These wrestlers are just goons for hire and were brought from places like Jind, Rohtak in Haryana and Alipur in Outer Delhi,” added the officer.
The college authorities immediately called the police, who arrested all the 10 hired goons and the two students.
They also recovered two licensed pistols from the musclemen.
All of them were later released on bail.
