A minor fire broke out in a government-run saree shop in the busy Palika Bazaar at Connaught Place in New Delhi on Wednesday morning.
The blaze was reported from the shop near Gate No 2 of the market at around 10 am, fire brigade officials said.
Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot which doused the blaze within minutes.
The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. Fire brigade officials suspect it to be a case of short circuit.
