The Outer District division of the Delhi Police arrested a gang of sharpshooters, allegedly involved in a series of crimes ranging from murder to car theft, from Sector 3, Rohini on Wednesday.

The gang of five, an assortment including a property dealer, two club bouncers and a college dropout, has been identified as: Mohit Chabra (23), Pramjeet Dalal (22), Shri Bhagwan (24), Ravi Malik (27) and Krishan (23).

Using sophisticated English pistols, the gang had allegedly gunned-down Satish Yadav, a property dealer and Chabra’s rival, at Miyanwali in North West Delhi, on November 30.

Acting on gathered intelligence, the police allegedly apprehended the gang as it passed by the Jaipur Golden Hospital in Sector 3, Rohini, en route to allegedly threaten a rival property syndicate. The gang was in a vehicle that it had allegedly stolen from Paschim Vihar in North West Delhi.

“Interrogation has revealed that Chabra had been on bad terms with two property dealers from the Rohini area, the deceased being one of them, after a business deal between them went awry,” said Atul Katiyar, DCP, Outer District.

Two English pistols of 7.65mm caliber, eight live cartridges of 7.65mm, one spare magazine and a stolen vehicle have allegedly been recovered from the gang’s possession.
