Gurgaon’s terminal HUDA City Centre Metro station will not only be the first eco-friendly Green Building with Green Rating from Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) in the entire 83-metro station network of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in Delhi and around, it would also be the station with the second-largest parking space for vehicles.
Not only this, all five metro stations in Gurgon -- HUDA City Centre, IFFCO Chowk, M G Road, Sikanderpur and Guru Dronacharya (Garden Estate) -- would have parking lots .
With this, the total parking lot in the Delhi Metro will go up to 63 after the Gurgaon stretch is opened for the public in April.
According to the Delhi Metro RailCorporation officials the HUDA City Centre Metro station at Sushant Lok will have a parking space of 6,500 sq meters after the
existing parking lot at Kanaiyah Nagar of 7,042 sq meters which is the highest.
With this the total available parking space provided by the DMRC nears 1,70,000 sq meters in which approximately 15,000 four-wheelers and 20,000 two-wheelers can be accommodated.
All five Gurgaon stations would have a total of 19475 sq meters of parking space.
