With dense fog continuing to envelop parts of North India, Railways on Monday cancelled seven trains from New Delhi and rescheduled two as more than 65 trains were running late.
The cancelled trains include the Patna bound Rajdhani Express, Lucknow bound Shatabdi Express, Howrah bound Poorva Express and Darbhanga bound Swatantrata Sainani Express, said a Northern Railway spokesperson.
He said over 65 trains coming to the city were late, ranging from three hours to a day. Among the trains running late were all the Rajdhanis, Shatabdis and Duronto expresses. Two trains including the North East express to Guwahati and the Andhra Pradesh Express to Hyderabad were rescheduled on Monday morning, the spokesperson said.
