Four people were arrested on Sunday in southeast Delhi for allegedly murdering a man who had a relationship with the one of the apprehended, a woman, as well as her daughter, the police said.
The arrested have been identified as Vinod Kumar, Ganesh Yadav, Kanhaiya Kumar Yadav and Maya Haldar. The deceased, Sanjay, was found murdered in Millennium Park in Sarai Kale Khan area on Saturday night.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East) OP Mishra said Sanjay's colleagues had said he went to meet his uncle in Okhla on December 9, but it was found that the relative had gone to Bihar a month ago.
"This fact raised suspicion and his roommates became strong suspects. Vinod was picked up for questioning and he confessed to the crime," Mishra said. "Vinod told us his roommate had become a problem due to his involvement with Maya, with whom he was also emotionally attached." They also persuaded Ganesh and Kanhaiya to join them, he said.
