Four held for molesting women in CP, Malviya Nagar

Four men were arrested for allegedly molesting and manhandling two women in separate incidents reported from the Capital till Monday, police said.

According to police, the first incident was reported from south Delhi's Malviya Nagar in which a 24-year-old woman, who is employed as a doctor’s assistant in a prominent hospital, was victimised.

Police said the accused, identified as Rakesh and Rupesh were engaged in a bitter, verbal duel outside the victim's house when she stepped outside and subsequently asked them to take their quarrel elsewhere.

Angered at her 'meddling', police said, the men molested and thrashed her before fleeing from the place.

In another incident, two shopkeepers were arrested for molesting and assaulting a 20-year-old woman who was waiting for her friends at central Delhi's Connaught Place, police said.According to police, the accused, identified as Nadeem and Faizan, , run a phone repair shop in the Turkman gate area.

"The victim was waiting for her friends near the B block, inner circle in CP when the men started misbehaving with her. Seeing that she was alone, they assaulted her when she resisted," an officer said.
