Railways on Tuesday cancelled four trains and rescheduled about 30 as fog in some parts of North India continued to affect locomotive movement, also leading to the late arrival of as many as 42 of them.
The cancelled trains included Gondwana and Seemanchal expresses as well as passenger trains like Delhi-Jind and Delhi-Panipat.
Trains which were rescheduled included the Bhopal Shatabdi, Rajdhani express to Howrah and Sealdah and the Duranto express to Chennai Central among others.
A Northern Railway spokesperson said there has been a marginal improvement in train services in last couple of days, adding, "If fog completely lifts, normalcy could be restored soon".
Railways has already cancelled more than 25 trains due to poor visibility, 19 of which would remain cancelled up to January 31.
