From next year, property registration will need just a click of the mouse. The recent success of the online passport registration system has inspired the Delhi government to implement a similar solution for property registration.
All you have to do is log in, pay the registration fee and fix an appointment with the registrar for the paper work. There are a total of 13 sub-registrar offices in the city, registering 1,200-1,500 properties every day.
“Work has already started in two of the 13 offices — Mehrauli and Rohini,” said Vijay Dev, divisional commissioner, Delhi government. The system, he said, will make things easier for property owners.
