The BJP on Friday demanded a white paper from the government on reports of Chinese incursions into Indian territory.
“As per reliable information, the number of incursions in 2008 was 233 and 76 in the last three months,” party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said. This, he said, included Chinese entry into India and intrusions by helicopters.
“These have not just been in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh but also in Sikkim,” Prasad said. He said the government was downplaying the threat and ministers seemed more interested in the politics of simplicity.
