delhi Updated: Nov 18, 2007 15:16 IST

Thirteen wagons of a goods train loaded with coal derailed early on Sunday morning on the Delhi-Ambala section of the Northern Railway, disrupting traffic on the route.

No one was injured in the accident.

The train derailed between Panipat and Sandalkalan railway stations at around 5.15 am, a railway official said.

The train was on its way to Asan in Punjab.

All the trains on the route have been diverted and two trains - Himalayan Queen and Shan-e-Punjab have been cancelled, he said.

The traffic on the Delhi-Ambala route is expected to be restored by Sunday evening, the official said.
