A Delhi government official was shot at by three men at his house in Rajender Nagar area of central Delhi on Tuesday night.

Police have already identified the accused, who were having a property dispute with the victim’s wife and had threatened them earlier as well.
"Sanjay Kumar, who works with food and supply department of the Delhi government, was in his house along with other family members. His wife was involved in a property dispute with three men — Ajay Sharma, Vipin Sarin and Sunil Chopra. They along with another had entered their house at 9pm," a police officer said.
Sources said Kumar’s wife had filed a court case against the three over a property dispute and they have been pressuring her to withdraw the case. "On Tuesday, they forcefully entered the house and asked her to withdraw the case. After a heated argument, one of them took out a pistol and fired a bullet. One bullet hit Kumar’s leg," the officer added.
Kumar was taken to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital where his condition is said to be stable. His statement was recorded by the police and a case of attempt to murder has been registered. The police said the accused had been identified and two of them have been detained.
