Three members of a family died in a road accident on Pataudi Road in Gurgaon on Sunday when their car collided head on with a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction.

Aged between 26 and 30, all the three died on the spot. The truck driver fled abandoning the vehicle.

According to investigating officer Satbir Singh, the incident occurred at around 7pm when Deepak, 26, his brother Parvesh, 30, and cousin Bhupinder Singh were on their way to Delhi in their Maruti car. Parvesh was at the wheel.

“As their car reached Wazirpur Crossing on Pataudi Road, a truck coming from the opposite direction rammed it. The car turned into a mangled heap under the impact,” the investigating officer said.

Deepak and Parvesh worked as contractors and lived in Bijwasan in New Delhi, while their cousin Bhupinder lived in village Naya Gao in Rewari. They were all coming from Rewari and going to Bijawasan.
