The Delhi high court on Tuesday called for the presence of an official of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) to clarify certain findings of the report, which indicted 25 private schools for accounting malpractices including faking losses.

The accounting general (audit) of the CAG, has been asked to appear in court on April 8, when lawyers for the indicted private schools will argue to clear the charges.

The CAG official was called during a bench hearing of a petition filed by Ashok Aggarwal on behalf of Delhi Abhibhavak Mahasangh that challenged Delhi government's decision to allow the schools to hike tuition and development fees.

Aggarwal also urged the court to stay the fee hike.
