A pleasant weekend with chances of rainfall is what Delhiites can expect. Delhi’s weather, which has been mostly pleasant during the past week, is expected to remain the same till June 18.

According to the weatherman, the monsoon winds are proceeding towards Uttar Pradesh rapidly and are expected to reach Delhi before its designated date of June 29.

On Friday, Delhiites today woke up to a pleasant morning with cool winds and a thick cloud cover.

The maximum temperature was recorded as 32.8 degrees while the minimum was recorded as 26.4 degrees. Both were a degree below normal.

Similar weather is expected during the coming week. On Saturday, the maximum temperature is expected to be 36 degree Celsius while the minimum will be 27 degree Celsius.

"The weather has been really pleasant over the past week. After the unrelenting heat, this weather is welcome. I just wish it would rain a little more," said Mahima Khanna, a college student.

While the temperature and cool winds have made many people happy, the increasing humidity are a problem for many.

"he sun may not be out but the high humidity has made it a little difficult for me to enjoy the weather," said Ramesh Pandit, a resident of Malviya Nagar.

The humidity, in fact, was quite high during the day and was recorded between 91% and 47%.
