The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will soon set up a toll- free helpline to address queries on the Aadhaar scheme.
At present, there is no direct redressal mechanism for the Aadhaar applicants. They can only lodge complaints on the UIDAI website which has its limitations.
The toll-free helpline will be operation from January 13. The call centre will be linked to the UIDAI’s data centres at Greater Noida and Bangalore to provide quick responses.
