Two months after the Union home ministry had transferred 25 DANICS officers out of the Capital, Delhi government has finally persuaded it to modify the orders partially.
Giving relief to seven such officers who have already served at least one out-station posting, the home ministry has but their transfer orders in abeyance. The home ministry, however, has transferred two officers with immediate effect while another 13 have been told to join their postings within 30 days.
Delhi government had taken a serious view of home ministry's transfer orders issued in May. Delhi chief secretary PK Tripathi had met home minister P Chidamabram to review the order.
