The family that stays together, votes together. Though all members of former Union home secretary V.K. Duggal’s family don’t stay in India, he ensured all of them cast their votes.
“This is the first time the whole family has come to vote together,” Duggal said after casting his vote at a Malcha Marg polling booth.
“I stayed in New Delhi because of work while my son Sunil lived in a different area and my daughter, a graphic designer, stays in the UK.”
Duggal was accompanied by wife Madhu, his son, daughter and daughter-in-law. His two grandchildren also came along. “I wanted them to learn about our democracy. They keep asking questions,” he said.
