A Honda City car, seemingly headed towards ITO from east Delhi, was found damaged on central Delhi’s ITO bridge on Saturday evening.

Police said they found the vehicle while patrolling the flyover around 10:10pm but its occupants could not be traced.

“We received no call about the accident but it seems the vehicle was speeding before its driver lost control after scraping against the broad road divider,” said a senior police officer.

After it rammed into the divider, the vehicle seemingly underwent several revolutions, rammed into an electricity pole, overturned and finally came to rest on the opposite carriageway of the Lok Nayak Setu.

“The vehicle seems to have been occupied by three persons,” the officer said. Police said a case would be registered after locating the driver and hospitals in the vicinity were being contacted to trace its occupants.
