Two of the most prominent political familes of Rajasthan and Haryana have decided to come together.
Deependra Hooda, Lok Sabha MP from Rohtak and son of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda is getting engaged to Sweta Mirdha, grand daughter of late Jat leader, Nathu Ram Mirdha of Rajasthan.
The engagement is on August 31 and the marriage will take place in November.
Sweta is the younger sister of Nagaur MP, Jyoti Mirdha.
While the Hoodas have been one of the most prominent political families of Haryana—Deependra’s grandfather late Ch.Ranbir Singh was a member of the Constituent Assembly as also five other Houses, Sweta’s grand father, Nathu Ram Mirdha was the undisputed leader of Marwar.
In 1977 when the Congress was routed in the whole of North India, he had won from Nagaur with a convincing margin.
