A day after the body parts of an unidentified woman were recovered from two separate jute sacks lying in different drains in southwest Delhi's Pankha Road locality, the Sagarpur police are still clueless about the identity of the victim.
Even as the police are looking for the victim's head to establish her identity, all they have found is a cut mark on the thigh. Going by the way she has been murdered, cops suspect revenge as the motive.
Meanwhile, teams of the southwest Delhi police have initiated their investigation on love angle besides probing the case for other possible motives. Sources said the woman, whose age is now estimated by investigators in early twenties, might have been called by her estranged lover who then killed her and chopped her body into pieces.
“The legs of the woman were found from the drain located behind Kali Mata temple in Pankha Road area around 10.15am on Friday while the torso of the victim was recovered a few metres away after an extensive search from another drain located behind Desu Colony bus stop,” a senior investigating officer said.
“We are yet to ascertain the identity of the victim as her head and hands are still missing. Search is on to find her missing body parts. Prima facie it seems that the body of the woman was chopped into pieces after killing her at another place,” added the
A case regarding the incident was registered at the Sagarpur police station and probe is still on into the incident victim’s body parts.
