If all goes well at the foreign ministers' meet on July 27, India and Pakistan will upgrade the talks in some areas to ministerial levels as part of the efforts to put in place a "comprehensive and sustained dialogue process" between the two countries, official sources said.
The meetings between home (interior in Pakistan), commerce and sports ministers of the two countries are on the cards and is being seen as "natural progression" from the secretary-level talks as both sides look at "normalisation of the ties."
A host of confidence building measures will be announced after the meeting. External affairs minister SM Krishna will host his Pakistan counterpart, Hina Rabbani Khar, for discussions in New Delhi on July 27.
The foreign secretaries of the two countries will meet on July 26 to lay the ground for the meetings of the ministers.
