The Indians lost to Canada in the semi-finals while Malaysia were beaten by England in the other semi-final.

Wednesday turned out to be a memorable day for the compound trio when Chanu, Hansdah and Kaur hit a record 227 to thrash the Aussies who managed a score of 220.
