India is witnessing an increasing demand from foreign students and professionals for help with their homework and assignments through online platforms.
Srikanth Iyer, CEO, TutorVista and Pearson education services, believes that India has a rich heritage in imparting education. “Students from the US find the tutoring extremely valuable for both short and long-term preparations. Although we give long-term tutoring for GRE and GMAT, our short-term tutorials which help with homework, assignments and preparation for exams have seen an increase of nearly 50%.”
Indian tutors are most in demand for mathematics and English lessons. There has also been a simultaneous hike in demand from foreign students for short-term professional courses in India.
Krishna Kumar, CEO of Simplilearn.com explained that organisations in the US and UK look for higher standards in terms of quality in delivering the projects.
“Most organisations took this route two years back; it has slowly become a mandate across the region and now we see an increased demand for certification training among foreign professionals.”
India also has a strategic advantage as it gives a substantial cost advantage.
