There is good news for commuters who look for good food at Metro stations.

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has started its much-awaited orange and green-coloured food outlets at five stations.

The IRCTC had signed an MoU with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to operate these outlets called “Food Track” at 130 stations in the Capital.

The first set of outlets started operation at Paschim Vihar (east & west), Peera Garhi, Udyog Nagar and Surajmal Stadium stations.

These stations are on the green line/line 5, which connects Mundka in west Delhi with Inderlok.

Initially, each of these five outlets, branded as “Food Track”, will cater to more than 5,000 commuters every day.

Passengers will get light snacks like sandwich, samosa, burgers and rolls, served hot. In the first phase, outlets will come up at 80 metro stations.
