Winter may be coming to a slow end in the national capital, with weathermen expecting temperatures to rise starting next week.

Sunday was a relatively warm day in Delhi, with temperatures ranging between 24°C and 8°C. This was slightly different from the normal maximum and minimum temperatures observed during this time of the year which are 23°C and 10°C.

“There are no significant weather systems that are expected to bring in colder weather conditions in the coming week. Temperatures are expected to remain within a similar range the next four to five days,” said an official from the Regional Weather Forecasting Centre (RWFC).

They have predicted a similarly warm day on Monday, with possible dense fog in the morning. Temperatures are not expected to rise above 25°C, or drop below 9°C during the course of the day.

However, starting next weekend, it may get warmer in the city. “Temperatures will start to steadily rise from next weekend,” said the weathermen.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted warmer days from Thursday, with temperature not dropping below 11°C. The minimum temperature is expected to spike to 13°C by Friday.
