A Delhi court today extended the judicial custody of former CWG Organising Committee chief Suresh Kalmadi's close aide Shekhar M Deorukhkar by 14 days.
"The accused is remanded in judicial custody till April 2," Special CBI Judge OP Saini said. Deorukhkar was produced before the special court after the expiry of his judicial custody.
He was arrested from Pune on February 11 in the CWG scam in which about R600 crore worth of contracts relating to CWG overlays projects are under the scanner of various agencies.
The court had earlier dismissed his bail plea, saying there is "incriminating" evidence against him, which establishes that he was a part of the conspiracy.
