Judo player, aide held for forging lease deeds

Delhi Police have arrested a national-level judo player who allegedly made fake stamps in the names of advocates and used them to notarize legal documents. Shambhu Prasad Singh was arrested on a complaint filed by businessman Anil Dhanraj Jethani.

Jethani alleged that an NGO claimed the ownership of a property that he bought recently.

During investigation the notarized stamp was verified and it was found the said advocate never notarised the lease deed. Singh, during questioning, disclosed that he had got the deed notarised from East of Kailash. A raid was conducted and one Rajeev Kumar Kochar, 37, was also arrested.
