The Neb Sarai police of south district on Friday apprehended a juvenile who accidentally fired at his dance teacher with a country-made pistol he was carrying. The police seized the country made pistol and one live cartridge from his possession.

The police said the juvenile accidentally pressed the trigger of his country-made pistol while showing off the gun in front of his teachers and other fellow students in the dance academy located in Sangam Vihar. One of his teachers, Nikhil was hurt and was taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre for treatment.

During investigation, it was found that people in the dance academy were lying to save the image of the academy and it was not a case of firing during a robbery bid.

“We found out that the juvenile had accidentally shot from his country-made pistol and had fled the spot after the incident,” a police officer said.
