Kejriwal, Sisodia to join yoga day celebrations
Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia will attend the International Yoga Day celebrations at Rajpath on Sunday.
According to a government official, the Delhi government hasn’t planned a parallel event and decided to participate in the event organised by the Centre.
“We have received an invitation and Kejriwal and Sisodia will attend the event. Other government officers, who have been invited, will attend the event in their personal capacity,” said a senior government official. The government has not issued any order in this regard and said that it is completely voluntarily.
The official also said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kejriwal are expected to be in close proximity of each other at the event.
Sources said that invitation was received on Friday and Kejriwal, who is also fond of yoga, decided to attend it.
In April this year, Delhi government had also announced ‘Vipasana’ training for its school teachers aimed at lowering their stress levels.
