Police on Monday claimed to have solved some cases of loot, by arresting a hardcore criminal of western Uttar Pradesh from Faridabad area on Sunday.
The police identified the criminal as Pradeep Negi of Meerut, who was held from the Nehar Par area.
On the basis of interrogation, police recovered the car stolen from a Faridabad trader from Delhi’s Salempur area.
"The arrested criminal has confessed to his involvement in the daylight loot in some Faridabad sectors in the recent past," Anil Kumar, in-charge, CIA, Bhupani, said.
Police, on the basis of interrogation of the arrested person, say that he has confessed to his gang’s involvement in three big loots in Faridabad.
"With the arrest of Negi, we have come to know that this was a gang of six to seven criminals, who have wrecked havoc in Faridabad," Kumar said, adding, "efforts are being made to nab all those involved."
Police said that this gang was involved in many loots, dacoity and murders in different parts of NCR and Western UP.
