Lawsuit

A lawsuit was filed on Saturday by an author in the Delhi High Court against Bollywood star Salman Khan and director Anil Sharma seeking to stay screening of the film Veer alleging it has illegally lifted some concepts from his book.

The author, Pavan Choudary, sought damages of Rs 20 lakh for alleged violation of his copyright for making illegal gains by lifting a portion from his book Trilogy of Wisdom.

Choudary submitted in his petition that he had earlier sent a legal notice to them to not use his concept in the film but they went ahead with its release.
