BJP will be fielding a battery of senior leaders including party President Rajnath Singh and Deputy Leader of the party in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj to take part in the debate.

In Rajya Sabha, Leader of Opposition Arun Jaitley, senior MP M Venkaiah Naidu and party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad will participate in the debate on Liberhan Commission report.

The indictment of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee by the Commission is being made an issue by the BJP which is also critical of the clean chit by the panel to then Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao.

The main Opposition has decided against fielding leaders indicted by the Commission thereby leaving out L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi in the Lok Sabha and Vinay Katiyar and Kalraj Mishra in the Upper House.
