The weatherman has forecast rain in parts of the city, though the Capital will see higher temperatures in the coming days.
On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.1 degrees Celsius, seven degrees below normal.
Minimum temperature was recorded at 23.5 degrees, which was five degrees below normal and same as Monday’s minimum temperature. The humidity was recorded at a high of 97%.
According to the weatherman, Wednesday will see a partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be between 35 and 23 degrees.
Delhi received 17.1 mm of rain since Sunday 8.30pm to Monday 8.30am. According to Met department, 108.3 mm of rain has been recorded in Delhi since the onset of monsoon on Sunday.
The monsoon reached the city a fortnight ahead of schedule this year. Sunday’s rain considerably brought down the mercury in the city, providing the much-needed relief from the hot and humid conditions.
