Rain eluded the city again on Sunday, with the rainless week ending on a humid note. Delhiites can, however, expect some relief with the weatherman forecasting rain in the next four days.
“Light rain is expected on Monday. It may, however, rain heavily on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The Capital has so far recorded a total rainfall of 88.6 mm. The rain deficit in the region has grown to a massive 57%.
The temperatures have also shot up. On Sunday, the maximum temperature was recorded as 37.3 degree Celsius, three degrees above normal. The minimum temperature settled at 28.5 degrees, two degrees above normal.
Humidity was between 83% and 54% on Sunday.
