After Lt-Governor, the Delhi Lokayukta has also directed the Delhi government to file a report on the allegations of irregularities in giving provisional regularisation certificates to some unauthorised colonies.

The Lokayukta has issued notices to urban development department and revenue department, asking them to file a report by December 23 regarding handing out provisional regularisation certificates to Radha Krishna Vihar, Abul Fazal Enclave-II, and Kotla Mahigram colonies in 2008.

According to sources, Delhi government, too, issued showcause notice to two unauthorised colonies — Shakti Enclave and Kotla Mahigram. As per the survey report, the built-up area in these colonies is nil. The colonies have been asked as to why the provisional certificate issued to them should not be cancelled.

Lokayukta justice Manmohan Sarin said the notice to the government has come in response to a complaint filed by former MLA Rambir Singh Bidhuri, who alleged gross misuse of encroachment of public land for getting provisional regularisation certificates. The urban development department has been asked to produce records of the provisional certificates issued in respect of the three colonies.
