Major bureaucratic reshuffle in Delhi government

The Delhi government on Friday effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the first after the recent Lok Sabha elections.

As per the order, Naresh Kumar, Additional Commissioner (MCD) has been transferred and posted as Managing Director of Delhi Transport Corporation, relieving R K Verma who had been holding the additional post. Verma, the Transport Commissioner, will continue to hold the charge of chairman of DTC as his additional responsibility.

Secretary, SC/ST/OBC welfare department R K Sriastava has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

The order said Environment Secretary J K Dadoo would continue to function at the current position.

Education Secretary Rina Ray will look after the work of Volunteer Training Projects relating to Commonwealth Games. Ray would also function as Secretary art, culture and language.

Secretary-cum-Commissioner of Industries Dharmendra will hold additional charge of the post of Secretary SC/ST/OBC.

Savitur Prasad MD, Shahjahanbad Re-development Corporation has been given additional charge of the post of Secretary, IT. He will relieve G Narendra Kumar, IAS from the additional charge of Secretary (IT).

There has been a reshuffle in respect of DANICS officers and other IAS officers also.

K K Jindal, DANICS has been posted as Additional Commissioner Trade & Taxes, A K Singh, Additional Secretary, Health and Family Welfare will hold additional charge of post of Director ISMH.

N K Sharma, DANICS, Additional Commissioner Industries has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Delhi Commission for Safai Karmacharis.

V K S Chauhan, DANICS has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary Vigilance, Directorate of Vigilance. Dwivedi will hold additional charge of the post of Additional Secretary (Urban Development) relieving Madhukar from the additional charge of Joint Secretary (UD).
