The Delhi Police on Monday effected a major reshuffle among its senior officials by giving new assignments to nine of its Joint Commissioners.
Joint Commissioner (Special Cell) Karnal Singh has been given additional charge of Northern Range apart from his present assignment, a Delhi Police spokesperson said.
Rajesh Kumar, presently the Jt CP of Southern Range, has been transferred to Armed Police wing in the same rank while Ajay Kashyap, the New Delhi Range Jt CP, will take his place.
Dharmendra Kumar, who has been transfered from Arunachal Pradesh, is the new Jt CP of New Delhi Range, the spokesperson said.
Amulya Kumar Patnaik, who came back from central deputation, has been assigned international airport, which has been earlier looked after by Jt CP Alok Kumar Verma.
Verma will remain as the Jt CP of Crime and Railways, Economic Offences Wing and Narcotics wing.
PR Meena, the Jt CP of Northern Range, has been transfered to security wing in the same rank, in place of Deep Chand who will take over Planning and Implementation and Research Cell Jt CP.
S Nithyanandam, who was looking after Planning and Implementation, will take over Recruitment Cell, the spokesperson said.
Ujwal Mishra, the Additional Commissioner, has been divested of the charge of Police Control Room while he will remain in-charge of Special Branch.
