In his seven-hour journey to Bangalore from Srinagar via Delhi, Raquib Ahmed Dar, 30, picked up belongings of four co-passengers.

But his 'good luck' ran out when he eventually landed in police net through the CCTV cameras installed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).

Dar had stolen a co-passenger's mobile phone while he was coming to Delhi from Srinagar in Spicejet flight SG-209 on Monday.

After landing at Terminal 1D of Delhi airport, he again swung into action and picked up the registered baggage of a woman passenger, who had arrived from Imphal.

"Dar had to then catch a Jet airways flight to Bangalore

from Terminal 3 at the Delhi airport. There too, he stole the laptop of a food court manager and boarded the flight to Bangalore. But our intelligence staff informed their counterparts in Bangalore and he was detained on arrival. The stolen items were recovered," a senior CISF officer said.

It was later revealed that even on his journey from Delhi to Bangalore, he had stolen another passenger's laptop in the flight.

The security agencies swung into action after the food court manager reported the theft of his laptop. The CISF staff, meanwhile, received another complaint from the domestic terminal; they eventually identified Dar through CCTV footage.

"The manager informed us that he was working on a laptop in his shop and went to the washroom. On his return his laptop was missing," the officer added.

Source said Dar had arrived at the airport at 4:50 pm on Monday and departed to Bangalore by Jetlite flight S2-4235 at 8 pm.

The flight landed at Bangalore airport at 10 pm and Dar was intercepted. Since two cases have been registered at Delhi airport, the Delhi Police will bring him here.
