In an incident of road rage, a man opened fire after his car was hit by another car in south Delhi’s Saket area on Saturday night. According to police, both the accused and the victim had fled the scene by the time police reached there.
Eyewitnesses told the police that a car hit another in front of a hotel around 11pm. “The person, whose car was hit, threatened the other driver with a gun. When the latter started running, he fired at least five rounds,” an eyewitness told the police.
No one was injured in the incident. “We checked nearby hospitals. No blood marks were found near the spot though we did find five empty shells,” said a senior police officer.
Police are now scanning CCTV footage for clues.
