A 42-year old man, who had hired two contract killers to murder his father over a property dispute in Vasant Kunj last month, was arrested on Friday, police said.
Chhaya Sharma, DCP (south) said Milan, whose father Dharam Singh had excluded him from his share in the family property, had even intimated the police about his father's murder to escape suspicion. His henchmen have been identified as Deepak
Dulal and Satyawan, both 23-years-old.
"On the morning of November 27, Dharam Singh, who was a retired driver with Indian Air Force, was found murdered at his residence at Masoodpur in Vasant Kunj. Post-mortem report revealed that Singh was stabbed at least 27 times," Sharma said.
Despite having made a call to the control room about his father's murder himself, what helped the police nail Milan
was the fact that there was no trace of remorse in his demeanour even when confronted with pointed questions about the incident.
"His father was the sole bread earner in the family. Milan was jobless. Their relationship further soured over property dispute," Sharma added.
