Prince Kocher

Hours after celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary, a wife was smothered to death by her husband in their Janakpuri home. The police said the man was tired of their constant quarrels and fights. The accused, Prince Kocher, 32, has been arrested.

According to the police, the injury marks on Prince’s right hand and arms nailed him. Moreover, all household articles were intact and the children were at their grandparents’ house on the night of the crime.

"The accused soon confessed to killing his wife Anjali, 29, as they did not have a cordial relationship and he was fed up of the quarreling over petty issues. He himself had on two earlier occasions tried to commit suicide,” a police official said.

On the night of February 25-26, the couple again had a fight and unable to tolerate the taunts, Prince hit Anchal on her face before smothering her.

“The couple had gone to Connaught Place to celebrate their wedding anniversary Friday night, with their two sons. On their way back, they dropped the boys at Anchal’s parents’ Mahavir Enclave house and went home," the official added.
